Skylight panels and domes give you the feeling of living partly outside. That lovely sunlight, sometimes way too much, enters massively, making it unpleasant. Liquisol 4EVERblue solar reflective coating is very translucent for delightful sunlight without glare. The hot IR radiation got reflected outside. When you spay it, this heat blocker works fantastic and gives a nice blue shine from the inside.

Solar Reflective Skylight Coating

You can apply 3SEASONSblue on every type of skylight, PMMA, Polycarbonate, polyester and glass. 3SEASONSblue is a temporary, removable solar reflective coating that reduces the heat from any skylight. The coating is translucent, not transparent. Specially developed pigments reflect the infrared radiation of the sun outside. H2Oproof Elastomeric Waterproofing

H2Oproof is an elastomeric roof coating based on acrylic polyurethane. This elastic liquid waterproofing is used on concrete, asphalt, tar roofs and metal sheets.
H2Oproof is easily applied by roller at a thickness of 2 mm. The expected lifetime is 10 years, but with an annual inspection, it can be doubled.
Because of the white colour with an SRI of >80%, the solar reflectance is superior, which results in a massive energy saving on the AC consumption.

Henderson Group See Clearly through the Fog

Following a study commissioned by the Henderson Group with their refrigeration partners, Portglenone Refrigeration Services Ltd (PRS), The Group made a commitment to retro-fit Clarifoil® Anti-fog film to their entire fleet of in-store freezers.

Recognising that condensation forming on freezer doors badly impairs product visibility and consumer product selection, they evaluated a number of solutions to resolve the issue before selecting Clarifoil Anti-fog film.

Glen Crumley of Henderson Group said, ‘’We selected Clarifoil from a range of options, not only because it proved to be the best solution in maintaining clarity of the glass, but it enabled us to make considerable energy savings by reducing the power consumed by the freezer door trim heaters’’

As part of the study, PRS measured the benefit of fitting adjustable controls to all Henderson Group freezers, designed to accurately control the power supplied to each individual freezer unit.

Clarifoil Anti-fog film can maintain the clarity of freezer doors even when trim heater power consumption is reduced by 75%, delivering savings of up to 6 kWh per freezer door per day. An annualised saving of 1,100 Megawatt hours of energy gave a strong case for the return-on-investment argument even before consideration is given to the increase in sales generated through the improved display of products.

Henderson Group and PRS selected OVAGLAS® to install Clarifoil because of their proven track record. Andrew Dunwoody of PRS said, ‘’OVAGLAS® were the obvious choice with their experience of installing Clarifoil in a working grocery environment. The installation teams showed the utmost professionalism and efficiency, completing the work across the group in just 10 working days’’

The project, to retro-fit Clarifoil on over 550 doors, was completed within normal shop hours with minimal disruption to store activity and was completed ahead of schedule.

Celanese Announces Exclusive Partnership with Protective Film Solutions for Retrofitting Patented Cellulose Diacetate Anti-fog Film on Freezer Doors

AMSTERDAM (September 11, 2018) – Celanese Corporation (NYSE:CE), a global specialty materials company, today announced it has signed an agreement with Protective Film Solutions (Europe) Ltd.® to become an exclusive partner for retrofitting existing freezer doors with Celanese’s Clarifoil® cellulose diacetate anti-fog film in grocery stores and supermarkets in the United Kingdom and Ireland. 

“Protective Film Solutions has selected Celanese’s sustainably sourced Clarifoil anti-fog film to help deliver a more convenient and enjoyable customer experience by keeping grocery store freezer doors free from fogging, as well as eliminating the need to repeatedly open and shut doors, which helps save energy for retail store operators and reduce electricity spend,” said Stephen Ball, Managing Director, Protective Film Solutions. “According to broad industry research, retail grocery stores can reduce their energy spend by as much as 1.5-2.0 kilowatt hours (KWH) per day per freezer door if they use this anti-fog film. Presuming a 75 door retail store, this translates into a cost savings of between £5000-£10,000 per store, per annum and a reduction of the equivalent of approximately 31 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. We are looking forward to not only the energy reduction opportunities for our retail grocery store customers, but also the improved customer experience the Clarifoil film will deliver.” 

Clarifoil is a leading product line of sustainably sourced and biodegradable cellulose diacetate films, which has also recently been accredited with the Plastic Free™ trust mark. Primary grades include films suitable for applications such as anti-fog, bio-packaging, carton windows, print lamination, labels, tapes, thermoforming, optical, casino chips, etc., in industries which serve luxury consumer goods, product packaging, pharmaceutical/medical, electronics, construction, advertising, entertainment and anti-counterfeit.
